Don’t Wait

If you do not wake up everyday filled with joy and love or if you hate your job and dread each workday, my advice is not to wait to get sick to save your life, save your life now while you are healthy. This is hard to do if you have golden handcuffs on, but even so, it is later than you think. You have more options than you realize. I believe most people get cancer because their life is out of balance and filled with stress.

The following is based on a true story. There was a hard working couple, Jack and Jill. Jack worked for the phone company. Jill was a school teacher. They worked hard their entire life and saved 95 cents out of every dollar they made. They drove modest used cars, lived in a modest older house, and never took a vacation. Jill had to stretch the grocery budget to have enough money to buy food. They looked forward to the day when they could retire and enjoy each other’s company. One day, Jill suggested they go ahead and retire; but Jack insisted they needed just one more year of working. Before the year was out, Jack was dead and Jill discovered through stocks and saving she was a millionaire several times over. But even with all that money, she could not get Jack back. Jill was sad.

At the very least love yourself enough to break up your workday to relax, meditate, or pray. Realize not everything that happens is a crisis. Sometime what you see as a crisis is God’s way of showing you a lesson you need to understand. Take the time to slow down, look around, and understand the lesson being shown to you.
