The Relativity of Walking When I was first paralyzed I would look at people walking and think ‘”I can learn to do that again. “ I was envious. Now, after my setback, I can walk only on a four-prong cane with a gait belt and I am subject to fall. Recently, at the hospital where I get HBO2 treatments, I saw an elderly lady with a four-pronged cane. She was an expert at using the four-prong cane, with no visible concern for falling. I thought “Maybe some day I can walk as well as she does on a four-prong cane “. I was envious. Is it not curious the lessons we learn about life when we look around.
