Imagery - My Most Comforting Image

In the lesson named Imagery I wrote:

There have been many studies that indicate meditation and imagery can play an important part in the healing process. We can send our bodies live messages or we can easily send our bodies die messages.

For me, an image is when I close my eyes and imagine a place or an event. I am not sure where these details of my images come from, other than suggestions from Jesus. Perhaps they come from deep within my emotional and spiritual being. Please understand, I do not see visions or hear voices. I just close my eyes and imagine an action or an event. For example, close your eyes and simply imagine yourself riding a bike. What does it feel like to ride a bike? It’s not how I imagine; rather it is what I imagine that is important. I have a new image lately that is very powerful and comforting for me.

The image goes like this:

I close my eyes and Jesus is standing beside me. HE pats the top of my head; then HE kisses the top of my head. HE does not say a word. Words would be redundant and fall short of conveying HIS love for me. HIS actions tell me three things:

1) HE LOVES ME.
2) HE WILL ALWAYS BE BY MY SIDE.
3) HE WILL TAKE GOOD CARE OF ME

I can imagine this image anytime. I do quite often when I am afraid or anxious. Understand the image simply comforts me. That is not to say the image miraculously removes my fears or anxiety. I must still cope with what I have been dealt.

I am truly a blessed man.
