"Morris, you know I love you. I have shown you this. You know I will always be right here with you. I have shown you this. You know I will take care of you and never leave you, I have shown you this as well. You know God’s Will be done and God’s plan for you will be done. Why do you need to know what’s next and why are you fretting so much? "

I think the question you pose is one that has been around since the Garden of Eden. Why do we want to be able to see the future when we have the promise that we are saved through Jesus? I think it goes directly to our sin nature. We, somewhere deep down in our fabric, want to be as God. There have been many debates about what was the nature of the "tree of knowledge" and why were we forbidden to eat its fruit. I think that it was forbidden because to be all knowing would have made us as God and also taken away our free will, and as humans, free will and predestination cannot co-exist.You mention that you have been studying in Genesis, so this is probably something you may have already found on your own.
